Spondylolysis: Spondylolysis is the anterior slippage of one vertebra relative to the one below. A stress fracture of the posterior portion of the vertebra is most common at l5-s1 and the typical symptoms are from the exiting L5 nerve root. Degenerative changes are usually responsible at l4-5 resulting in spinal stenosis and leg pain with walking known as claudicaiton pain. It is important to know which type.

None to pain: The symptoms can range from absolutely none to hamstring tightness, low back pain with or without some radiation to legs. There can be some tingling or parathesias and/or numbness into the legs as well . The hamstring tightness may restrict the lower back range of motion.
