Only if Prescribed: There are many abs which can help with the symptoms of a toothache. However, there are 2 important things to remember. 1) they never cure the toothache long-term. 2) you should never taken any prescription med without a current, up-to-date, specific prescription for the problem you are facing. If you have some Cephalexin laying around, don't take it. See a dentist & get a proper diagnosis first.

Depends: First of all, most tooth oral problems aren't cured by antibiotics. They are relieved by dentists. So if you are having a tooth ache, go see your dentist right away. He/she may prescribe antibiotics as part of your treatment. Cephalexin is not usually the first drug of choice, but may be appropriate in some circumstances. Your dentist will know which is best for your specific condition.
