Are there any common household appliances that interfere with pacemakers?

Possibly: Pts with older pacemakers, which may not be as well shielded as modern ones, may be susceptible to interference from older or poorly functioning microwave ovens. Newer pacemakers and microwave ovens are more heavily shielded. Likewise, wifi setups in the home may interfere with older pacemakers, but generally are well shielded to prevent problems. Ask your doc if still uncertain.
