No pus: Unless something went wrong at the wisdom tooth extraction, there shouln't be muscle inflammation.

Depends: Depends on the difficulty of the extraction and extent of the surgery needed. With a relatively straight forward extraction there would not be any appreciable muscular inflammation. With more extensive surgery it is certainly possible.
