Anemia: Anemia is term used for low red blood cells or low hemoglobin. Acute anemia can be due to blood loss due to any cause. Chronic anemia due to slow blood loss, like menstrual loss, peptic ulcer disease, iron, b12, folate (folic acid) deficiencies, hypothyroidism, chemotherapy, drugs etc.
