A member asked:

Has anyone had to have an x-ray cause reported miscarriage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Miscarriage: An x-ray taken during pregnancy does not cause a miscarriage. Miscarriages are caused by chromosomal abnormalities in the conceptus. It is possible that someone miscarried after having an x-ray during pregnancy. But the cause was not the x-ray but a chromosomally abnormal conceptus. And they would have miscarried whether they had the x-ray or not.
