Should resolve : Breakthrough bleeding occurs about 10-30% in first pill cycle and approx. 10% by 3rd pill cycle. Should continue to improve as the uterine lining becomes thinner in response to the progestin in the pill. Occasionally, your gyn may add some estrogen to your rx if bleeding doesn't resolve. Additionally, occasionally the bleeding may indicate another underlying issue. Good luck.
