Can taking roxicodone (oxycodone) effect my unborn child?

YES: If you are taking roxicodone (oxycodone) on a regular basis, your child could be born addicted to the medication. If this were the case, the newborn would be admitted to the nicu and would undergo treatment for withdrawal.

Yes.: All maternally ingested opioids including Codeine derivatives affect the developing fetal brain in untold ways. Best avoid all opioids during pregnancy unless no alternative is available. Fetuses can become addicted to maternally ingested/administered recreational drugs, including potent pain killers.
