I had spinal menigitis when i was born, is it possible to have it again?

Absolutely: Meningitis can be caused by viral or bacterial infectios. The meningitis of a newborn is normally caused by a different infection than that seen in college students. If you are concerned about meningitis , go to your nearest er immediately. Symptoms include severe headaches, a very stiff neck, vomiting and loss of consciousness. It is something to take very seriously.

Yes: There are various viral, bacterial and fungal causes of meningitis. You do not develop immunity to all forms because you had one, and may not develop any immunity to any strain depending on the specific germ. There are vaccines that can help people develop some immunity, which you may want to look into if your life involves a lot of people contact.
