Doctor first : See your doctor if you suspect you have epilepsy. If necessary, the doctor will diagnose & treat the problem or refer you to a neurologist to manage the seizure disorder.

Neurologist: It is preferable to see a neurologist, and try to find one that specializes in seizures and epilepsy. Make sure you have a full evaluation so that the diagnosis may be confirmed. If the diagnosis is correct, the neurologist can guide you to determine if the epilepsy needs to be treated, and with what.

A neurologist: If your epilepsy is not easily treated, then you should see a subspecialist...an "epileptologist."
