Pain and numbness : Numbness is a reflection that a nerve can be involved. This can be a peripheral nerve or nerves or a pinching in your leg from a disc in your back (or something else doing the pinching). In more uncommon cases poisons such as alcohol, lead, solvents, mercury, arsenic can do it. Rare genetic conditions can cause it. Most cases are due to low back problems or diabetes.
