Don't recommend it: I recommend a "sprague-rapport" (two-tube style) stethescope for field use--it is extremely inexpensive and incredibly durable. Any littmann will be comparatively crazy-expensive, more delicate, very likely to get stolen, and not provide dramatically different auscultative quality in the field.
