A member asked:

How long does it take for a vaccine to start taking effect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on the Vacci: There are many vaccines and most of them are given in a series to achieve the protective antibody level.Once the series are completed then antibody titer has been achived.Other vaccines which are given in single shots like meningicoccal, influnza etc takes few days to give the immunity and it varies from vaccine to vaccine.
