Thiamine: High doses of thiamine can help treat wernickes in the early stages. Once it has advanced, however, the disease is no longer totally reversible.

Yes: Wernicke's encephalopathy is caused by thiamine deficiency (vitamin b1) so thiamine is the treatment.
