Is removing ovaries something to be concerned about if bipolar?

Not really.: The medical reasons for removal of ovaries are limited and backed by fairly good science. If they need to be removed, the bipolar patient should be in touch with her primary care doctor and maybe psychologist/psychiatrist, but shouldn't put off the surgery. I notice that you are 50 and your ovaries will stop working on their own soon, so be sure the gyn doctor explains fully why they need to go!

Bipolar: If removing ovaries helps symptoms and moods, and u r closely monitored by your ob/gyn doctor, you should be fine.
