X-ray: Persistent pain in the fingers or hands after "minor" trauma is often due to a fracture, but can often be due to other types of injury that can be helped by a doctor. I'd go see a primary physician and if they feel more if wrong will either have you get an x-ray, apply a splint or other treatments, or refer to a specialist such as an orthopedic doc or a hand specialist.
