A member asked:

How to treat cyclothymic disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Therapy: Sometimes medication is used and can be helpful. Another approach might be psychotherapy. This can help adjust thought patterns and coping skills and work through painful issues contributing to mood fluctuations. Exercise, healthy dietary habits, proper sleep patterns and healthy relationships are also helpful. Cyclothymia needs to be addressed so one can have the most happy life possible.
