They do not spread to other parts of the body, and they can often be removed through surgery. •malignant tumors (also called carcinomas, sarcomas, or lymphomas, depending on the tissue where they originate) are cancers that invade surrounding tissue. A malignant tumor, if untreated, will eventually spread.
