Soap & water. Avoid: Certain types of disinfectants (bleach, Virkon, Peroxigard, or Virox, Parv-O-Way) are best for cleaning up hard surfaces that are contaminated with parvovirus, but none of these should be used directly on people or animals. The best treatment for those is shampoo, soap & water. If you or your pets had parvo, consider any surface potentially contagious for 2 wks & undisinfected surfaces for months
