If my son is allergic to soy and cow's milk what would be the best milk alternative if he's still around 1 yrs old?

Rice milk: It is possible that he can tolerate cow's milk or soy by a year but if not then i typically suggest rice milk but discuss being certain to meet other nutritional needs being missed such as vit d, possibly calcium.

Alimentum/nutramigen: Generally, alimentum or nutramigen are tolerated by children allergic to soy and milk.

Several possibilitie: At a year kids broaden their diet to include many things that can replace milk as a food item. Milk has sugars, protein, fat & calcium & the calcium is the one item that is difficult to find in except in dairy products. You could stick with a hypoallergenic formula like alumentum, or some go to goat's milk. Also, two Tums (calcium carbonate) fruit flavored wafers can be added to food & supply all they need.

Almond milk: Is an option as well.

Milk Alternatives: By a year of age, i recommend unsweetened almond, hempseed, and/or coconut milk. Sweetened milks have too much sugar.
