See your doctor: There are many treatments available for heavy periods. Your choice of treatment is influenced by your own goals. Birth control pills, shots or iuds may help control your cycle. Other treatments may also help you get pregnant if that is what you desire. Addition testing may be required. Make sure you discuss this with your doctor at your next visit. You may also need to take vitamins and iron.
