Many things: Many things can cause a late or skipped period. Pregnancy can cause you to skip a period, as well as menopause. Likewise, stress is a great factor in how you hormones control your periods. At your age, i would be most concerned about perimenopause, where you have not yet stopped, but your ovaries are beginning to fail. This can go on for years in some women. Talk to your doctor about it.
