Peptic ulcers: Historically, ulcers used to be treated with antacid regimens. However, the current treatment involves treating a bacteria called heliobactor pylorii. And using acid blockers as a supplement. So, patients are given antibiotics and advised to use the acid blockers (either on a short or long term basis).
