It can : Yes, cramping may occur prior to the onset of your period. Often some of these premenstrual symptoms--like bloating, breast tenderness, mood swings, cramping--can be dramatic. Sometimes trying advil, aleve, (naproxen) Motrin may help. If no relief or if symptoms worsen or persist, check with your gynecologist.
