Chelation: Artery disease is best treated with risk factor modification, medcal therapy for hypertension, nicotine addiction, diabetes, and elevated cholestrol. Chelation is expensive, heavily advertised and not scientific in regards to any benefit. Its not likely to hurt you, but why are you using it?

Rx vs Supplement: The oral rx "chemet" is a chelating agent with scientific proof that establishes its effectiveness. Once absorbed into the bloodstream, oral chelation has the same mechanism of action as IV chelation. The active ingredient {ie: edta, dmps, dmsa...} physically attaches to metals {ie: pb, hg, al}. After attachment, the metal's shape is altered and the body is able to eliminate the new compound.
