Risk is risk: The protection provided by the 2 or 4 strain hpv vaccine applies only to those strains involved (there are many more) and begins to set up within 3-4 wks of the first dose. Completing the 3 dose sequence is thought to confer long lasting immunity. Hpv is one std that condoms don't reliably prevent. If you pick up one or more of the strains before the shot sets up, expect to keep it for life.

Yes: Gardisil is a vaccine for prevention of hpv infection. It is effective in both makes and females. Yes, it is safe to have intercourse during the vaccine administration. There is no possibility of transmitting hpv simply due to the vaccine.
