Of course.: Aren't all injections a little painful? I think so! but it's a small price to pay for the lifesaving protection they afford. I don't think the Meningococcal vaccine is any more painful than other shots, although i must admit there are a few of my patients who might disagree with me. ;).

No: All injections are felt as a pin prick Vaccines may cause a slight swelling of skin or soft tissue at the site of injection but are not painful.
