Kidney cancer: You will not be able to tell. She needs to see a doctor - pcp or urologist. You can be suspicious if she has blood in the urine and may or may not have any pain, if she has poor appetite, if she has been losing weight.

Ask: Have a conversation with her and if she has not gone to the doctor taker her there & ask permission from her to fill out a hippa form that will allow you to speak to her doctor. If she does not want to involve you in her care that is her right (as frustrating & sad as that sounds). One of the simple ways to look at kidneys is via ultrasound. It would be helpful to know more about her condition.
