Can i go to the dentist while on chemotherapy for cancer?

Yes: It depends on your blood count, and type and timing of the chemo and dentist visit. Most dentists will check with your oncologist first.

Yes, but...: You can and should, esp if having a problem, but your dentist should work with your oncologist on the best 'timing'...Check platelets, confer on meds, etc. Depending on the type of cancer, your oncologist may not want any treatment, or may want extractions. It's best if dental "work" can be handled prior to chemo. All the best to you.
