What can you do to prevent cervical cancer?

Vaccination & pap: A vaccination is available that can prevent about 80% of cervical cancers. All girls/women 9-26 year old should get vaccinated, perferably before onset of sexual activity. Regular pap smear examinations provide detection of pre-cancerous lesions and can prevent cervical cancer. Limit the number of sex partners and delay first intercourse. Do not smoke.
