Proper way to mix: Its extremely important that you carefully follow the directions on the package to mix your infant's formula. Once you make the formula make sure you warm it in a bottle warmer or a pot of warm water, never in the microwave. Generally you can start out with a basic formula, but if your baby has problems feeding your pediatrician may recommend you change types.

Breast is best!: Breastmilk obviously is the preferred nutrition for your baby. Yet formula can serve a useful purpose for many. Prepare the formula carefully, using precise measurents, then select the proper bottle-nipple combination for your infant. A handy guideline for term babies is to feed about 1 oz. More than the baby's age in months: 2-month old gets 3 ounces per feeding. Think small but frequent feeds.
