Pretty difficult: Too. Sometimes people have "kankles" or fat deposits around the ankles and these can be surgically removed. Sometimes people get swellling secondary to varicosities and so there are procedures that a vascular doc can do to reduce these veins i.E laser, ablation etc.

Several ways: General weight loss and dieting will help. You may also consider massaging the foot and ankle, as well as, hydrotherapy. If you have access to a pool, you may want to sit next to the jet stream and let the jet stream massage both ankles. Exercise, such as walking or running daily, will be beneficial.
