Chronic diarrhea: Diarrhea can be acute or chronic. Chronic diarrhea is consider when one have diarrhea more that 4 weeks. Some of the causes of chronic diarrhea are inflammatory(ulcerative colitis or crohns), malabsorptive(gluten allergy), dietary(lactose intolerance) or functional(irritable bowel syndrome ibs). Infectious causes are unlikely. Most common cause is ibs. One need to see doctor for evaluation.

? Watery BMs?: If you have watery or too soft bms for two years there are very easily treated possibilities that a doctor can know if he/she sees you. He/she may need to run some tests if the reason is not clear from just asking questions and examining you.
