How do doctors treat staphylococcal infections?

It depends: There are many different types of staph infections - some are serious & require hospitalization. Most staph infections are skin related. These can vary between simple pimples & boils to complex abscesses & cellulitis. A doctor can distinguish the complexity of the infection.Simple isolated staph boils can be cured with a drainage procedure by a provider. Antibiotics are needed for more complex cases.
