how long after giving birth can i get pregnant again?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Cornelia Franz
Specializes in Pediatrics
Often quickly: Many moms have found themselves pregnant at 3 months post partum having babies one year apart. If you are trying to get pregnant give your body a chance to recover first. Ideal spacing when you can do it is 12-15 months after birth of last chid so siblings are 2-3 years apart.

It's the same : Having a baby does not make you more fertile. Start birth control if you do not want to be pregnant again right now.

No: You would not ovulate that soon after a delivery. You could however ovulate as soon as 4 to 6 weeks after delivery.
