Not necessarily.: Some people are more sensitive to different smells than other people. It may be the chemicals in used in treating the leather or something else entirely. But what you're describing is not to characteristic of a particular sickness or illness.

Sickness: Impossible to say with such a limited description. You may be sensitive to some of the leather preservative agents. If you are not otherwise dizzy its nothing to worry about. One tiny possibility. There are people who will seize with very specific stimuli.
