Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Block Fallopian tube: Chlamydia can irritate urethra of both men & women, causing burning upon urination w/possible discharge. But if it gets past female cervix (after causing discarge) to fallopian tubes, it can cause pain, scarring & blockage there resulting in infertility. Chlamydia doesn't typically cause male-factor infertility, just female. So make the guy wear a condom each & every time! no excuses!
