Diet and Exercise: While it may seem like a simplistic answer there is really no better way to lose that extra ten pounds than by eating smaller portions of food, eating a well-balanced meal several times per day and maintaining a regular exercise routine. If this is seen as a short-term "diet" rather than a lifestyle change, then it's likely that the excess pounds will return.
