Weight loss.: Phentermine boost metabolism for a while, before your body puts on the brakes. It is a stimulant, and also suppresses apptetite slightly. Metformin, the best first choice for diabetics, increases Insulin sensitivity, thereby lowering insulin, which makes it hard to put fatty acids into a fat cell. Many weight loss clinics use this combo. Phentermine is a controlled substance.
