Cyclic: The vaginal discharge changes throughout the cycle. Right after the period it tends to be whitish. At mid-cycle it is wet and clear. After ovulation it tends to get sticky and more yellowish. It can also be affected by what you eat. If it doesn't smell or itch, it's probably normal.

Several causes: Bacterial vaginosis and yeast are the two most common vaginal infections. Both can look yellow. Sexually transmitted diseases like trichomoniasis, chlamydia and gonorrhea are also possibilities. Yellow discharge is not normal and needs to be evaluated.
