A member asked:

Can my boyfriend be experiencing some kind of allergic reaction after he performs oral sex on me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: There is no reported "allergic reaction" from oral sex. At times, performing oral sex with a condom (fellatio) or with a vaginal shield (protected cunilingus) may result in a latex reaction if the person performing the act is sensitive to latex. Otherwise, no. Some viruses, like herpes, may be passes with oral sex if the performer has a cold sore on his/her lip.
