A member asked:

Is it normal to have irregular periods after stopping birth control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Birth control plus are synthetic hormones that override your normal body regulation to create menses very 28-30 days. Once you stop the synthetic override it can take some women a few months to re-regulate. If your periods were irregular before pills, they will likely be irregular after you stop. The best treatment I have found for hormonal balance is acupuncture. It is amazing!
