A work in progress.: A bacteriophage or a phage is a virus that infects bacteria & multiplies within it. Phage therapy has been used in countries that were previously part of the soviet union to treat bacterial infections that did not respond to antibiotics. Lytic phages are used to kill specific bacterias. Bacteriophage research is on-going in the us and europe & will hopefully yield good results.
