Is there a way to distinguish between bleeding from a period and a fetal mplantation?

See your doctor: Implantation bleeding is usually lighter and doesn't last as long as a period. Periods also usually involve more cramping than an early pregnancy and implantation. See/call your doctor if you are worried--it won't be the last time this fetus/baby/child worries you! :-).

Pregnancy test: Currently available pregnancy tests can detect a pregnancy within days of conception. Having one done should answer your question.
