Depends: Sort of. Both imply a change in a menstrual pattern. Late implies it arrived, just after the anticipated date. Missed is by definition, one that never arrived. It's a bit of word play, since both require a pregnancy test to see if that's the cause. It is always important to keep a menstrual calender to follow your menstrual pattern.
