Depends: Pregnancy has been documented after unprotected sex on any day of a woman's cycle, including during menses. In theory. women are most "fertile" in the days surrounding egg release (usually mid=cycle).Sperm need to encounter the egg in the Fallopian tube, fertilize it, and the material implant in the womb in that order. No one knows for sure when egg release occurs.
