Minor and safe: Significant risks are very uncommon: infection, allergic reactions, and uterine perforation estimated at much less than 1% and i personally have never seen in 20 years. Small bleeding afterwards and cramping are fairly common, taking Ibuprofen an hour before the procedure is effective for most women. X-ray exposure is negligible and safe within established limits.
