A member asked:

Is ther a connection between hiv and hbv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sort of: They have some common characteristics in that they are both viruses which can be both sexually transmitted and transmitted via the blood borne route (sharing needles, etc...). But they cause distinct clinical syndromes and are treated differently.
