What is premenapause and how do you know if you have it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Before menopause.: Apparently, this is a time before menopause that a woman experiences changes from fluctuation in hormones, which can occur over a wide time range in a woman's life. This manifests as irregular periods, and with symptoms like hot flashes, weight gain, night sweats, headaches, sleep problems, breast tenderness, and vaginal dryness. Emotional changes, like irrtablity, and depression also occur.
