It possible to test for growth hormone deficiency?

Stimulation test: Growth hormone deficiency can be suspected when an individual has a very low igf-1 (insulin like growth factor) which is mainly made by the liver under the control by secretion of growth hormone. To measure growth hormone directly you have to do a stimulation test using various agents, because growth hormone is not secreted constantly but in pulses and usually in your sleep.

Yes : Endocrinologists do stimulation testing to elicit gh release from the pituitary gland. This is all through blood tests.
